I want to live everyday meaningfully, always being constructive. Everyday I leave my house at the same time, walk the usual route, start working on my creations and go home at the same time. To you, living your exciting life, it must seem like I am living in a truly boring world. But I like this kind of lifestyle. Even in daily routine, there are moments when I can sense the changing seasons, the rhythm of peoples' lives, and my very own physical being rising to prominence. And what's more, there are times that my normal atelier becomes a different space, like when you come to visit me, or when I accidentally ruin my work. These are the moments that give me simple joys. Living everyday meaningfully and constructively is quite challenging.
I believe that I want to paint pictures. Pictures are usually hung on the wall. When you look at a painting closely, it starts to reveal the creator's position as you feel every gesture and decision made through the clues left by the material. I try to trace back this timeline and imitate their movements. The sensitive aspects of the work start to appear as I question in what order things were painted, what materials were used, with how much force, and so on. When I finish my own picture, I would like you to deconstruct it in a similar way.
