Fujikura has been handling a camera since age 11. Since 2003, he has presented a variety of photographic works. His neon sign series, which focuses on the craftsmanship of anonymous artisans, has been well received by Japanese photography critics in recent years,
This work pays homage to the technology and signs of neon craftspeople which marked an era in the context of commercial art. By passing through a photographic lens, the original role as outdoor advertising / information signboard is withdrawn, allowing the artistic value of the sign itself and the anonymous maker to shine.
