After belonging to communication research center FABRICA (Italy) in 1999, Fujimoto completed an MA in Design at Tokyo University of the Arts, moving on to become assistant professor of Intermedia Art at the same university. His works make use of various media in expressing themes of society, energy and symbolism.
Major exhibitions and projects include: "NEW RECYCLE MARK" (21_21design site, 2010), "Loewe Exhibition -ORIGAMI-" (Mitsukoshi, 2013), "Zendo-Setsu GUCCI x REBIRTH PROJECT" (Gucci Shinjuku, 2013). Held three consecutive exhibitions concerning energy in 2014 (Peak Oil/Negentropy/Energy Translation Now) and has begun to propagate a "toy with society" artwork style.
