"There was a time in my youth when I stood solitary at a shrine in the middle of the night. Not being able to see my hands the slightest bit, it felt as if I didn't even know where I stood. It was almost as if my body, supposedly existing as it should, had melted into the darkness and only my spirit was left behind. The world was me, and I was its centre, feeling a faint sense of security that seemed to drift through an ocean of unease. I became aware of the danger of what I was perceiving.
