Over a 40 year carrer as a corporate worker, Yamamoto spent countless weekends enjoying the gallieries of the Ginza/Kyobashi area. As a collector of young artists of the time, he now boasts more than 1600 works. Currently reitred in Ginza following his directing position at the Open University of Japan during which time he published about his gallery visits and exhibited his collection of 30 years. He continutes to expand his collection, provide lectures and writing, be involved in various exhibitions, and extend art information to art collectors, art fans, and business people regualrly through varied media.
