Following careers in banking, venture management, and directing roles for companies listed in the first section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, Tokoro currently holds executive positions at multiple companies. He is drawn to contemporary art as a counter to the business world he inhabits. He surrenders himself as an avid "supporter" of contemporary art for the past 10 years, feeling that the term suits him better than the title of "art collector".
