When I\u2019m in front of a big tree, when I have a stone in my hand, when I step in a place, I face objects deeply and silently. This moment is a valuable experience for me. I want to make works with such kind of time and place. So I\u2019m working towards the understanding and refinement of them.
The method of \u201cwater-based woodcut\u201d arranges my thoughts and imagination. Then my prints are formed softly, tensely and deeply by printing on Japanese paper.We never draw on the paper directly in this method. I think it makes my presence on the works thin, also it brings silence and distance between me and my works.So, water-based woodcut is a suitable method for me to deepen and develop my works.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
