Kapo（金沢アートポート）
Kapo（金沢アートポート）はアーティスト・イニシアチブで運営するアート・コミュニティです。展示やイベントなどを開催するスペースとアーティストの居場所となるスタジオを備え、地域の表現活動の場をつくっていきます。また国内外のアーティストをゲストに迎え「アーティスト・イン・レジデンス（AIR）」プログラムも継続して行なっていきます。地域のコミュニティの拠点であり、世界に開かれた場所である港（port）のように、人が行き交い、つながる場所を目指します。 2008年に金沢21世紀美術館がプロジェクト型の展覧会「金沢アートプラットホーム2008」を開催しました。同展の招聘アーティスト中村政人がアートプロジェクト「Z project」を実施。Z projectに参加した有志の運営メンバーが（株）山越の元印刷工場のビルを自らの手で改装し、アートスペース「Kapo（金沢アートポート）」を立ち上げました。運営メンバーは金沢に住むアーティストやデザイナーが中心でした。展覧会終了後もKapoの活動は継続することになりました。2009年にAIRプログラム「CAAK & Kapo Creator in Residence」を開始。2012年に（株）山越と共同でメモブロックブランド「paperable」を立ち上げ。2014年、ビルの老朽化に伴い元銀行のビルに移転し、現在は共同スタジオ、ギャラリーを運営。
Kapo(Kanazawa art port)
Kapo (Kanazawa Art Port) is an art space&community that is managed by artist-initiative. We have a space to hold exhibitions and events, and studio that will be the place where is home studio for the local artists. We will create a place of expression activities in Kanazawa City. In addition, we will continue to do artist-in-residence (AIR) program by welcoming domestic and foreign artists as guests. We aim to be a place where people can go and get together, like a port that is a local community base and opened to the world. In 2008 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa held a project type exhibition "Kanazawa Art Platform 2008". Masato Nakamura invited artists of the exhibition carried out an art project "Z project". The volunteer members who participated in the Z project refurbished the building of the former printing factory of Yamakoshi Co., Ltd. with their own hands and launched the art space "Kapo (Kanazawa Art Port)". The administrative members were mainly artists and designers who live in Kanazawa City. Kapo's activities will continue even after the exhibition is over. Started the AIR program "CAAK & Kapo Creator in Residence" in 2009. In 2012, in collaboration with Yamakoshi Co., Ltd., launched the memo block brand "paperable". In 2014, due to the aging of the building, we moved to a former bank's building and now we operate studio and gallery for the artists.
