Gallery Information
Timothy Blum and Jeffrey Poe founded Blum & Poe in 1994. The gallery’s program encompasses a wide range of genres, from West Coast artists such as Mark Grotjahn, Henry Taylor, and Alma Allen, to Japanese artists such as Yoshitomo Nara, Kazumi Nakamura, and Tomoo Gokita. In 2012, Blum & Poe held “Requiem for the Sun: The Art of Mono-ha,” the first US survey of Mono-ha, a loose group of Tokyo-based artists that radically redefined Japanese art in the 1960s and 1970s with ephemeral, site-specific installations. In 2014, Blum & Poe opened branches in New York and Tokyo.
