JooLee Kang (B. 1982, Suwon, Korea)は、生態環境の変化、生物の変遷、そして共に生き残るために必然的に生み出される進化に焦点を当てています。人間と自然の複雑な相互作用を様々な視点から解釈し、ドローイングやミックス・インスタレーションを通じて、人間の可能性と尊厳についての理解と考察を求めています。
JooLee Kangは、米国のTufts University - School of the Museum of Fine Arts, BostonとDuksung Women's Universityを卒業し、Kim Hee-Su Art Center（2021年）、Gallery Chosun（2021年、18年）、米国のGallery NAGA（2020年、17年、14年）、京畿道近代美術館（2018年）、スペインのKorean Cultural Center（2018年）などで個展を開催しました。また、ソウル大学美術館（2021年）、ソウル美術館-SeMA Storage（2020年）、Changwon Sculpture Biennale（2020年）、Amorepacific H.Q.（2019年）、水原Ipark美術館（2018年）、アメリカのFitchburg Art Museum（2018年）、台湾のTaipei Fine Arts Museum（2017年）でのキュレーション展にも参加しています。現在、アメリカと韓国の両方で精力的に活動を続けています。
JooLee Kang (B. 1982, Suwon, Korea) focuses on change of ecological environment, transition of living organism, and evolution, created inevitably, to survive together. She interprets complicated interaction between human and nature in various perspectives, asks for understanding and consideration of our possibility and dignity through drawing and mixed installation.
JooLee Kang graduated from Tufts University – School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston in U.S. and Duksung Women’s University, and held solo exhibitions at Kim Hee-Su Art Center (2021), Gallery Chosun (2021, 18), Gallery NAGA in the U.S. (2020, 17, 14), Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art (2018), and Korean Cultural Center in Spain (2018). She also participated in curated exhibitions at Museum of Art - Seoul National University (2021), Seoul Museum of Art - SeMA Storage (2020), Changwon Sculpture Biennale (2020), Amorepacific H.Q. (2019), Suwon Ipark Museum of Art (2018), Fitchburg Art Museum in the U.S. (2018), and Taipei Fine Arts Museum in Taiwan (2017). She is actively working in both the U.S. and Korea now.

2020年開催の「UNKNOWN ASIA 2020 ONLINE」でグランプリを受賞したJooLee Kang（韓国）。ソウルの美術館・ギャラリーが最近最も注目する新鋭アーティストの一人です。 一見すると繊細で装飾的なドローイングですが、モチーフとしているのはグロテスクともいえる変異した動植物です。「人類と自然の緊密な絆のメタファーとして、正反対の関係、または従属関係にあると考えられる二つの関係は、実際には単一の布のように織り合わされている」と作家は語ります。余白である「間」の取り方によって点（線）と点（線）を紡ぎ、見る人の視線を送り続ける感覚に陶酔してもらいたいです。
