At the TUAD Graduate School, we find joy in the process of creation, as realized through the unification of art and learning, and work to nurture people who can communicate their ability to pioneer a vibrant new era both locally and globally. Features of our graduate school include "Graduate School Review" and "art management education". Graduate School Review is a curriculum in which students from all fields of research pool together twice a year to give mid-term reports in the formats of exhibitions or academic presentations. In our art management education program, we launched the TOHOKU CALLING project to put into practice our belief that providing a place to study art as a business, in a more practical and not solely academic way, can serve as a form of career education for those who wish to become creators. Through these forms of education and practice, we will spread the word about our graduate students both locally, including the national art scene of galleries and public spaces, as well as our Yamagata Biennale, and globally, in venues such as the world's art markets.
