「青木野枝／クリスティアーネ・レーア」二人の彫刻家による銅版画展。両者は身の回りの自然をモチーフとして取り込みつつ、構築されるのは共に重量を感じさせない立体や空間。青木は非常に重い鉄を用い、その大型作品の中に軽々とした光と空間を内包し、レーアは、微かな存在の乾燥した植物を素材として用い、その堅固な存在により周囲を取り巻く無限の空間を感じさせます。 そしてその二人の版画作品はそれぞれの立体作品の面影を見せつつ、銅版という素材に直接描くことにより立体作品とは別のリアルを表出しています。
Exbition's Information
Copperplate exhibition by the two sculptors Noe Aoki and Christiane Löhr. While using the nature that surrounds them as motifs, they construct three-dimensional objects and spaces that feel weightless. Aoki makes large works out of very heavy iron that contain feather-like light and space. Löhr uses delicate plants that have been made stronger by drying them out, which make one feel infinite surrounding space. For their copperplate pieces, while showing signs of their own three-dimensional artworks, they directly create images on a plate of copper, thereby creating a reality separate from their three-dimensional artworks.

エディション・ワークスは東京郊外、調布市にある版画工房です。エッチング、リトグラフ、木版画、シルクスクリーン、デジタルプリントと、全版種を手がけています。企画制作は現代美術作家を中心としており、継続的に制作や発表を行っています。制作工程においてはアーティストの制作意図を最大限に汲み取り、最適な技法を用い、あるいは技法を考案して上質な版画作品を制作することを目指しています。 その実現のため、古典技法からデジタル技術まで常に幅広い習熟に取り組んでいます。
Printmaking workshop Edition Works aims to create high quality printed art works, utilizing and inventing the best techniques, to realize artists’ intents. For that purpose, the workshop makes effort to acquire skill at traditional techniques and newest digital methods. The prospect of Edition Works is the prints would continue to be the existence has the traditional aesthetic value and the contemporary representation.
