彫刻作品を起点としながら写真や映像、インスタレーションなど幅広い表現方法で作品制作に取り組んでいます。また、近年では舞台美術のディレクションや、自らもパフォーマンス公演に参加するなど、彫刻と身体表現の関係性を積極的に模索しています。
While based in sculpture, he also creates works in a wide range of other genres, such as photography, video, and installations. In recent years, he has also set his hand to scenographic direction and appeared in performances himself. As this indicates, he is actively exploring the relationship between sculpture and physical expression.

彫刻作品を起点として、写真や映像、インスタレーション、または自らパフォーマンスなど行いながら、身体と世界との触れ合いによる実感を獲得するための作品を発表している二藤。2021年の初めにLEESAYAで行った個展「私と世界を隔つもの」では、「接触」をテーマとして他者や世界との対話を試み、可視化する作品を制作。まるで世界と自分との接触は近づけば近づくほど遠ざかるような、そんな焦燥感を感じる展示作品であり、個人的にはドラマチックにさえ思えた。発表したとしても埋められない切実さと渇望感を感じるこの作品は、非接触がニューノーマルとなったコロナ禍で見た展示の中でとても印象に残っている。 私たちは今後、この世界を生きる上で生じる隔たりにどのように対峙していけばよいのだろうか。このような根源的な疑問がある限り、これからも二藤の模索する姿を追い続けていきたいと思う。
