周りの空気や時間、風や湿度など、自然を取り込み様々な現象をそのまま映し出す、彫刻的観点を深めた早川の作品を見ると、細かいことは考えず、ただただずっと息をひそめて眺めていたくなる。2021年4月〜5月に小金井アートスポットにて開催された「Water/proof 〜移動する境界〜」展での水の作品「if the ground were round」では、撥水加工を施した机上の水の動きを、あるがままの現象として作品にしていた。「水の人権を尊重する」とのことだそうで、まるで意思を持っているように動く水の姿をそのまま提示することで、自然の現象に宿る美の存在を指し示してくれた。早川の作品は、現象のその先にある宗教観や宇宙観の美学が感じられ、普段私たちが無自覚に住むこの小さな世界にもまだ美しい調和の世界が存在することを希望を持って教えてくれる。
