外国人の私は常に社会と個人の存在の形に目に向けている。これまで既成の人型模型を使い、社会という個体と集合体の問題を焦点に制作を行ってきた。人間は誰しもキラキラなものに憧れ、自分も光り輝く存在になりたいと夢見る。これは人間の一番深い欲望でもある。古代貴族から現在アイドルまでその原始の心理は変わらない。そのキラキラを手に入るために、どんな汚いこともしてきたのが人間である。今回の3331 Art Fairではその表裏の関係にある「キラキラ」と「汚さ」に注目し、＜燦爛＞というコンセプトの作品を発表する。
As a foreigner, I am always looking at the forms of social and individual existence. I have been using ready-made human models to focus on the issue of the individual and the collective in society. Every human being yearns for something sparkling and dreams of becoming a shining being. This is also the deepest desire of human beings. From the ancient aristocracy to today's idols, this primitive psychology has not changed. In order to obtain that glitter, human beings have always done whatever dirty things they could to get it. This year's 3331 Art Fair will focus on the two sides of the same coin, "glitter" and "dirtiness", and will present works based on the concept of "brilliant".

馬嘉豪は 1996 年生まれ、中国の西安出身のアーティストです。2015 年に来日後、常に社会における人間の関係性についての考察を作品として制作・展示しており、特に人型の集合体を題材とした立体のシリーズでは、暴力的とも言える数量の人体模型の背後に横たわるダークユーモアと社会へのクリティカルな態度が特徴として挙げられます。また、最近始めた 平面のシリーズも一貫して大量の人物の集合体を採り上げていますが、人体模型よりもさらに窮屈な画面の中に、人間が社会性を取得した時に発生する諸処の問題を鋭く描き出しています。
