2013年のパリでの共同スタジオを機に、片岡純也と岩竹理恵夫妻によるインスタレーションの制作を始める。日常的な素材を使ってシンプルな技術で作品化している。普段見慣れている物や具体的な現象を観察し、その本来の機能とは離れてそれらが持つ意味や特性やメカニズムを抽象化させる。

Starting in 2013 from a shared studio in Paris, Junya Kataoka and Rie Iwatake began the creation of an installation piece. With the use of everyday items, the work evolves through simple technique. The duo investigates seemingly familiar objects and tangible phenomena, separating us from their original functions in order to make abstract each of their meanings, characteristics, and mechanisms.
