おかっぱ頭で首が長く、なで肩が特徴的なアンバランスな体型で、どこか悲しげな表情をしている人物像を制作。人形とも彫刻とも形容されない、どこにも属さない「あの子」の悲しみを体現している。人形とも彫刻とも形容されない、どこにも属さない「あの子」の悲しみを体現している。それは過去の無意識に失われていく記憶から自分自身を投影させることによって映し出される自身の姿そのもの。木粉粘土を素材にアクリル絵具、岩絵の具等で彩色。

It is a disproportionate body whose hairstyle is Bobcat and the shoulder hangs, expressing sad expression. It embodies the sorrow of “her” not belonging to anywhere in both dolls and sculptures. 木粉粘土を素材にアクリル絵具や岩絵具で着色し、独特の素朴なマティエールをもたせた経塚真代の少女像は、人体研究に基づく具象彫刻とも、愛玩物としての人形とも言いがたい。アンバランスな体型ゆえか、少女たちの佇まいは寄る辺のなさを感じさせ、アンニュイな表情はどこか物言いたげでもある。この少女たちは、名づけるなら作者の「分身」である。作家の心の奥底にある悲しみを投影された彼女らは、観る者の胸の内の痛みをも甘く刺激し、観る者はその痛みに魅了される。
