冬耳は1976年京都府生まれ。1999 龍谷大学経済学部卒業後、2001 大阪美術専門学校美術工芸学科絵画専攻卒業しています。2011年にはVOCAにおいて入選を果たし、今まで関西を中心に精力的に活動を続けています。色と形による色面構成を主体としたアクリル絵の具による抽象画は、色彩の鮮やかさや高い描画技巧にとどまらず、描かれるモチーフがほとんど自然界の動植物の姿から発想を得ているのが特徴です。 そこには常に「人と自然の共生」をテーマにした実験的な色と形の組み合わせがなされており、作家は多様な民族の価値観や宗教観の違いを越えたところにある人類の共通感覚を呼び覚まそうとしているのかもしれません。 また、テキスタイルのデザインを手がけるなど、美術の垣根を越えて幅広く活躍しており、近年では2018年にRBTxCO STUDIOにおけるセッションライブやMOYA氏とコラボレーションを行ない、世代を超え互いの価値観がせめぎあう作品を制作しています。

Fuyuji was born in Kyoto in 1976. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Ryukoku University in 1999, and from the Art and Craft Department of Osaka College of Art (major in painting) in 2001. In 2011, he was selected to show his work in VOCA. Since then, Fuyuji has worked actively as an artist, mainly in the Kansai region. He uses acrylic to paint his abstract pictures, and they feature color compositions created from shapes and colors. His abstract paintings have brilliant colors and exceptional drawings. They are not the only characteristics of these works, however. Another characteristic is that when Fuyuji designs the motifs he draws inspirations from the fauna and flora of the natural world. Constantly in these works, using as the theme co-existence of humans and nature, Fuyuji performs experimental pairings of colors and shapes. He may be trying to awaken the universal senses that are shared by all human beings regardless of differences in ethnic values and religious views. Furthermore, Fuyuji has been working frequently and energetically in areas besides fine art, including textile design. In 2018, he had a live session at RBTxCO STUDIO and collaborated with artist MOYA. He is creating works where the values of different generations do battle.
