体育館でサイコキネシスPsychokinesis At Gymnasium
近年は、超個人的な「経験」や「実感」を軸に、今の自分、そのときそのときの作りたいイメージやその感覚に正直であることを大切にした素朴なアウトプットを、継続できるペースで繰り返す制作方針を実践し、さまざまなモチーフに取り組んでいる。特に最近は「何をもってして’理解した’事になるのか」がミステリー。あとは例えば、脳と手は同じ身体に収まっているのに、脳から手に指令が伝達されて、筆と絵の具を経由して画面に現れるまでのプロセスも、とても不思議だと感じている。いつだって本来の脳内イメージとは違うものが現前するのだもの。
With hyper-personal experiences and hyper-personal feelings at the heart of my activities, in recent years I have been tackling a variety of motifs and pursuing a sustainable pace of production with a focus on straightforward output in which I am honest not only to my current perception of myself, but also honest to the images that I want to produce in changing circumstances, and to my own sense of all these variables. One question that has come up for me in recent months is the mystery of what forms the basis for believing that I have understood something. Another puzzle is the process by which an instruction is transmitted from brain to hand, then via brush and paint to appearance as an image. Even though my brain and hand are parts of the same body, what my hand produces is always different from the image that I saw in my brain.

フルフォード素馨は、さまざまな題材をもとにして絵画を制作している。それらは時にマッチングアプリでモニターに表示される人物像であったり、絶滅危惧種の動物達であったり、夢で見た世 界や、さりげない日常の風景、静物であったりする。このように多種多様な物に対する興味とそれらから受ける感覚的な経験が、フルフォード素馨というフィルターを通すと、その作品を観る者に緩やかな普遍的な感性の共有を促して来る。それはおおらかに彼女が伝えたいと願う感性の記録なのかもしれない。3331アーツ千代田館内のギャラリーキドプレスでの個展は、11月26日から12月25日を予定している。
