私が描いているのはみんな、ある意味で牧人であり、牧歌であり、田園風景なのかもしれない。私は作品を作る中で、普段の認識を手放していくと同時に、別の物語を描いている。手放したものは形にならならず、取り残され、いつまでも心に留まっているものだけが形になる。
I guess everyone I paint is a kind of shepherd, and everything I paint is a pastoral or rural landscape. When creating my work, I let go of my usual perceptions while painting an alternative story. What takes shape is not the things that are let go but what remains forever in my core.
