Haruka Fujibayashi produces work with motifs of landscapes and experiences captured and preserved in the corners of her memory. At first glance, the minimal monotone appearance of her work is cool and stylish, but in actual fact at its core are emotional elements such as her personal experiences and memories. The work exhibited at 3331 ART FAIR consists of images she shot in 3331 Arts Chiyoda. Experience of a particular space is sublimated as art, and displayed in that very spot, creating a new space as an exhibit. “The reconstruction of image in creation” and the “transformation of space with installation” in Fujibayashi’s work is an invitation to reconsider “space” that is worthy of attention.
