A male and female art unit. Its members are Eri Honma and Nabuchi. Things the world lacks are kyunkyun (a heart-pounding feeling) and chomechome (XXX), so they’ve named themselves Kyun-Chome. They are working to increase kyunkyun and chomechome.

After seeing Kyun-Chome’s works, one is always left with an unpleasant feeling of having seen something or having been shown something that one shouldn’t have. However, that is not all. This unpleasant feeling is not directed towards the artwork but towards oneself for having known something yet feigned ignorance. Perhaps we could say that it is the discomfort felt when one, having been sitting back as an onlooker, is unexpectedly called as a person concerned. Kyun-Chome’s works astutely re-examine the relationship between insider and outsider, perpetrator and victim, and those who see and are seen, not allowing viewers to remain on the outside.
