作家に参加をお願いするにあたり、次の条件を自分で設けてみました。一つ目は、私が現在、拠点としている東海・関西で主に活動している作家であること。二つ目は、絵画、彫刻、インスターレーション、映像、プロジェクトベースというように、三作家であっても、できる限り多くの表現領域や技法をカバーすること。そして三つ目は、作品があっけらかんとした単純さと複雑さの両方を併せ持っていることです。シンプルな形態ながら幾重もの情報が織り込まれた三名の作品は、作り手と売り手、買い手、そして多くの観客が作り出す特殊な生態系の中で、ひょうひょうとした魅力を放つのではないかと想像しています。

In my case, I set specific conditions for requesting artists to participate in this venue. First, the artist must be active near the Eastern Sea or Kansai region (West-Central part of Japan), where I am currently based. Second, despite there being only three artists, they need to cover as many varieties of expression and methods as possible, such as painting, sculpture, installation, film, or project based work. Third, their artworks must possess at once, both obvious simplicity and complexity. While appearing simple in form, a heavy load of information is woven into these three artists' works. Their work will emit a special quality through a distinct ecosystem crafted by creators and sellers, buyers, and the many visitors to the exhibition.
