自身の創作の根源的な理由について、「オオカミになりたくてオオカミを描いている」と話す彼女は、見るものがすべてがオオカミに見えるという不思議な眼を持っているという。アーティストの独創性に対して、何らかのトレーニングや、鍛錬によって得られる技術の他に、（岡本太郎に対して内外がそうであったように）何かしら変わったものを求める傾向にある私たちにとって、彼女の眼に映る景色とは世界が「そのように見えてしまう」単独者の孤独を描いている興味深い作家として推薦した。鹿児島出身である彼女は、桜島を中心に山の絵を多く描く。その一部には日常的に噴火する桜島の火山灰が使われている。

This is what Inuwashi says when asked about the fundamental reason why she creates art: “I want to be a wolf.” She says it is why she draws wolves. She has mystifying eyes that cause her to see everything as wolves. Regarding the originality of artists, besides the skills and techniques they acquire through some sort of training, we tend to require them to be a little odd (exemplified by what Japan and the world asked Taro Okamoto to be). I have recommended Inuwashi because I find her an intriguing artist who is depicting the loneliness of the solitary types. In the eyes of the solitary types the world simply appears that way. It is exactly how Inuwashi sees. A native of Kagoshima, Inuwashi frequently draws mountains, particularly Mount Sakurajima. In some of the pictures of the mountains as a material she has used volcanic ash from Mount Sakurajima.
