「オーストリア ウィーン芸術アカデミーに留学経験を持ち、在学中からペインティング、写真、朗読など、その分野にとらわれない活動が注目を集める。数々の芸術祭やファッションイベント、さまざまな企業とのコラボレーションも積極的に行う。現在はファッションやアートについてのエッセイを雑誌やウェブサイトにて多数執筆中。昨年は「瀬戸内国際芸術祭2019」にフューチャーしたTOKYO FMのラジオ番組で9ヶ月間パーソナリティを務めた。3月20日から始まる「いちはらアート×ミックス2020」では、アーティストとして参加。」
「Studying at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna in Austria, Maeda attracted attention with her borderless activities, including painting, photography and reading performance. She has taken part in many art festivals, fashion events and collaborations with various corporations. Currently, she writes essays on fashion and art in magazines and online. For 9 months last year she worked as a radio presenter on a TOKYO FM radio show about the Setouchi Triennale 2019. She is a participating artist in “Ichihara Art x Mix 2020” starting March 20th. 」

前田エマとは、その存在じたいが、「アート」を賢く美しく所有し、人生のさまざまなシーンに活かしていくメディアだと思う。モデル、エッセイ、写真、ペインティング、朗読、ラジオなど、ジャンルレスな表現がどこかノスタルジックなのは、彼女自身のパーソナルな家族の記憶に深く根ざし、支えられているからではないか。彼女の声、彼女の絵画、彼女のテキスト、彼女の装いは、2020年現在の東京にたゆたう、どこにも帰着しない多面体としての「私」のありようを映すミラーのようで、はじまったばかりの女性たちの新しい旅を励まし、勇気づける。
I believe Emma Maeda's existence itself is a medium that can possess "art" wisely and beautifully, and use it in various scenes of life. The reason why her genreless expressions, such as modelling, essays, photography, paintings, readings and radio shows, are nostalgic is probably because they are deeply rooted and supported by her own personal family. Her voice, her paintings, her texts and her attire are like mirrors that reflect her state of "self" as a polyhedron that drifts around present-day Tokyo and never returns, encouraging and empowering women who have just started embarking on their own journeys.
